DRESS CODE

The committee would be grateful if members would please respect and adhere to the following points when they and their guests visit the club:
Dress Code
· Generally, dress up rather than dress down.
· Gentlemen should wear a suit, or jacket and tailored trousers, and a collared shirt (a tie is preferable, though not essential).
· Ladies should dress to a similarly semi-formal or businesslike standard. Footwear should be in keeping with a smart outfit.
· All members should avoid casual leisurewear or sportswear. No denim or trainers/plimsolls, please.(But see below.)
Additional Points
· It is the responsibility of members who bring guests into the club to ensure that their guests are aware of the dress code.
· Please note that, at the discretion of club staff, members or their guests who are not dressed to an appropriate standard may be refused service.
· The only exceptions to the dress code apply to: necessarily informal events such as pre-football match meals; residents passing through the club on their way to or from their bedrooms; casual visits to the club before 11am on weekdays; private weekend events; use of private rooms for private functions (with the agreement of the club committee or management).
